2022 Gift Packaging Event
A remarkable milestone has been reached, as we celebrate a decade of making a difference in the lives of children facing challenging circumstances. Our annual gift packaging event, affectionately known as "HEY Operation," has just wrapped up its 10th year, and it was an incredible success. With the support of our dedicated volunteers and the local community, we packaged a total of 4,000 gift bags filled with love and hope. These gifts were destined for foster children, those without families to call their own, and little ones battling illness in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Tijuana. The event was not only a labor of love but also a joyful gathering of more than 200 compassionate souls who came together to spread happiness. With music, delicious food, and camaraderie, this event was a true testament to the power of community.
Over the past ten years, HEY Operation has grown in scope and impact. What started as a heartfelt idea to bring joy to children facing adversity has blossomed into an annual tradition that touches the hearts of thousands. We've learned that kindness has no boundaries, and the smiles on these young faces remind us why we do what we do.
This year's packaging event was particularly special, as we set our sights on the ambitious goal of creating 4,000 gift bags. Each bag was carefully curated to suit the needs and preferences of the children who would receive them.
